How Talent-Ray protects test results
What is in place during a test
-
Camera on, checked before the start
The camera is on for every browser test. Before the test begins, the candidate goes through a camera check.
-
Full screen, or Test Mode on a phone
Written tests run in full screen. On a phone, the candidate starts the test with “Enter Test Mode”.
-
Question text cannot be copied
Question text cannot be copied, and the test page is closed to browser translation.
-
Pasting is blocked
Pasting, drag-and-drop, autofill and accepting AI-assistant suggestions are blocked. An attempt counts as a warning.
-
Camera image check
The camera image is checked for a second face, no face or a phone. A finding is logged with a snapshot. It does not interrupt the candidate and does not count as a warning.
-
Different questions from a question pool
When a test uses a question pool, each candidate gets different questions from it. Without a pool, every candidate sees the same questions.
-
Answer authenticity check, in AI-led spoken interviews only
AI-led spoken interview tests include an answer authenticity check. Written tests do not have it. The check never changes the score.
When a rule is broken
Leaving the test, or trying to paste, counts as a warning.
- 1/3
First warning
The warning is recorded and the test goes on.
- 2/3
Second warning
The warning is recorded and the test goes on.
- 3/3
Third warning
The test is submitted automatically and marked “ended due to a rule violation”.
What these measures can and cannot do
- No browser-based test is fully cheat-proof. Someone with enough technical skill can still get around these measures.
- What they do is make cheating harder and flag sessions for HR to review. A warning or a flag never rejects or scores a candidate by itself: the decision stays with your team.
- If a test needs full control, hold it on a computer you provide, in a room you supervise.
